This is a spectacular, authentic Huipil from Chajul, Quiche Guatemala.
Vintage and hand-woven on a back-strap loom with "Aleman" cotton, a soft Pastel Mint base. It is one of our most popular garments because of how soft and cool the hand-woven fabric feels.
This stunning Huipil has an unique woven-embroidered design of a Ladinos, In Guatemala, the word Ladinos is refer to people of predominantly mixed Spanish and indigenous descent. This particular design is of a couple. A unique and rare find!

Condition: Generally good vintage condition with a some loose threads and wear. This blouses has lived a previous life and therefore shows some signs of age and loose thread but is in remarkably good condition.
- Please note: The entire piece is genuine hand woven and hand embroidered. Many Huipiles are now embroidered using sewing machine which can also be referred to as 'hand made'. This piece is made entirely without the use of machine.
CARE:
- This Huipil was 100% handmade from beginning to end; therefore naturally there will be some imperfections. You could see some loose threads, DO NOT pull just snip with scissors.
- For a better care, we recommend hand wash
- Dry flat
